Q: How long does the install take?
A: Most installs are finished in one day, depending on the size of the area. We’ll give you a time window when we schedule.
Q: When can I walk on the new lawn?
A: Light foot traffic right away. Full use (kids, dogs, heavy play) in about 2–3 weeks once the roots have established.
Q: What’s the establishment window?
A: The first 90 days. That’s when the sod knits into the soil below. We email you a care plan after installation so you know exactly when to water, mow, and fertilize.
Q: Which sod variety is right for my yard?
A: It depends on your specific site — sun, shade, traffic, soil type, and how you use the lawn. We install Bermuda, Zoysia, Centipede, and St. Augustine, and we pick the variety that’s right for your yard rather than one-size-fits-all.
Q: Do I need to be home for the install?
A: Not necessarily. A lot of our homeowners aren’t. As long as we can access the yard and you’ve approved the written estimate, we can handle the rest.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: Pricing depends on the size of the area, the soil condition, and whether any grading work is needed. Here’s the range across our 144 residential installs this year:
– Small patch or minor add-on: starting around $500
– Typical residential install: around $4,000 on average
– Larger full-property projects: up to $15,000
The free on-site walk-through gives you a real number against your specific yard — no phone quotes, no mid-job surprises.
Q: When can you do it?
A: Sod installs are weather-dependent. Most installs schedule 1–2 weeks out right now.
